It looks like Google is trying to take over the world… I for one welcome our new search-engine overlords…
With the Google Toolbar, Desktop Search, G-mail, Google Talk, Picasa, Blogger, Translation tools, Website Caching, Linux & Mac specific search-engines, and Google’s impending announcement of their own Office Suite (click for more info), it looks like there will be a Google alternative to every costly piece of software we use today.
The main concern seems to be, do we trust Google with all our daily tasks? So far, the giant hasn’t let us down.
Hey what’s up Dave. Hope everything’s going well for ya. Yeah, Google Talk is pretty cool.
Yeah. So FAR it hasn’t gone wrong. But what happens when Google, Wal-Mart, and Coke unite? We’ll be doomed to drink poorly made “pop,” buy things in China, and be limited to 750 pages of search results! Nooooo!
I read that the other day… and I was like holy freakin cow, they’re takin over!
ahahaha, its funny that you had the same reaction as me
or that I had the same reaction as you
or whatever
yeah
later.
and, I’m glad you have a blog. I liked reading your ITS story. I always go to your myspace hoping that you have new blogs, but you never do.
so, I’m glad you told us.
Haha, so how do you feel about the ‘overlords’ now that a couple years have passed?
You know, in retrospect, I’m still okay with the company overall. I’m not totally down with how they Page Rank spanked so many people, but I love most of their products and use their services every day. They’re doing okay on an overall “don’t be evil”-ness scale. I think maybe they should spread some of that over into their Adsense and Page Ranking departments though.
