TruTV – purportedly the wildest and craziest reality-based television out there – is known for being surprising and actually real enough to get physical reactions out of the people watching their videos. Tonight at 10pm, they premiere a brand new show called “Rehab: Party at the Hard Rock Hotel.” New episodes will continue to come out every Tuesday at 9pm.
I really think my friends’ birthdays are always the hottest parties I’ve been to in the past. Especially ones held at “The Estate” – the big house my friends up the street live in. We always have fun, cut loose with a few drinks and some games, and almost always some dancing. There’s usually delicious snacks, some sexy people, and good times.
truTV’s Rehab is a little wilder than my parties, since it’s at the Hard Rock Hotel and is the country’s wildest and hottest party. By comparison, my parties are to shame. But I still enjoy them. And since I can’t easily go to the Hard Rock and enjoy an extended stay – I can tune in to TruTV on my HD satellite dish and watch the reality unfold as security guards and guests collide, guests get wild, celebrities perform, and everyone has a good time. Some of the servers at Rehab make their month’s rent in one night’s tips! These and more make this the hottest party on the Vegas Strip and on television.
Incidentally, if you didn’t know – TruTV used to be CourtTV. Don’t worry, if you loved their trial coverage and other court news, they still do that. But they’re shifting their focus to presenting what’s real, not just new reality shows. From their FAQ:
“Q: Is truTV a reality network?
A: No. Our focus is on series that feature real-life situations. That is why we’re using the theme “Not Reality. Actuality.” for the network. The goal is to let people know that truTV programming is different from typical reality shows, which often involve contests or other highly staged events.”

Crazy stuff. Yeah, I think the contradiction is sort of the point. Unless maybe they’re saying you are being “rehabilitated” from a normal lifestyle? Maybe they want you to think cushy celeb rehab instead of the not-at-all-cushy reality of an actual rehab clinic?
